Using just your hands and few tools, a ball of clay has the potential to become a beautiful handmade object. Come and get your hands immersed in some clay and discover your own ability to make pottery.

Wheel Throwing Workshop

This is a 2 hour personalised workshop for 2-4 guests, set in Christy’s cosy and bright studio in St Peter's. A great gift idea for a special couple, your partner and you, or for friends who love to craft and share a laugh together!

Guests will learn some fun and simple handbuilding techniques to each make a bowl, and then hop on the pottery wheel to have a go at throwing bowls, beakers and vases. Christy will demonstrate the techniques used to make your own pottery pieces, and assist with loads of one-on-one attention. Each guest will make several pieces that will afterwards be dipped into a speckled white glaze and fired in the kiln, ready for collection approximately 4 weeks after the session.

Cost: $300 for two guests (or $150pp for additional attendee’s)

When available: Saturdays and Sundays 10am-12pm or 3pm-5pm

Where: in Christy’s pottery studio located in St Peters (address provided upon booking).

Workshop includes: all materials, glazing and firing, aprons and towels, plus plenty of fun memories to treasure.
